This was another comission piece that was finished in about 2 1/2 weeks. The request was for a metallic red Sinanju with all of the thrusters replaced with metal option parts. I ended up using a technique I’ve used on detail areas to achieve a nice metallic color finish which involves spraying a clear color over a chrome base. In this example I used Tamiya clear red mixed with a bit of clear orange to get the final hue. On the shield I actually gradiated straight clear orange into the red/orange mixture to bring the shield out from the mobile suit a bit.

Overall I am super happy with the end result, and the client really loved it to. I have actually entered this piece in the Bandai/Dannychoo.com sponsored World Gundam Competition.
