1/35 RX-78-2 Ver. Ka.
This kit was a comission for a fellow forum member Matt in Texas. I began this project back in the beginning of February 2009, and it was completed on August 30th 2009. Overall the kit was super easy to work with, the parts were really clean and free of flash and seams, and the gigantic size made working on the details that much easier. However it was the gigantic size that was also the drawback to this kit. Because the original B-Club kit is probably 20 years old (The G-System kit is a re-cast of the original Bandai B-Club kit with some enhancements to it) the kit was cast in very large, very heavy pieces. This made it especially tricky for painting because the sheer size and weight of some pieces made figuring out a support system for drying tough.
I can say this is probably one of my best pieces so far, and I am super happy with how it turned out. Hopefully the customer loves it as much as I do.
