This figure is of one of my all time favorite Capcom characters, Morrigan. Featured in various games, she was one of the main stars of the Dark Stalkers/Vampire Savior series. I originally had found this figure as a PVC being released by Max Factory later this year. After a bit of digging, I found she was actually from Wonderfest 2007 in Tokyo. Tracking down the resin kit, I purchased her and was immediately thrilled by the sculpt. The quality and detail was fantastic, and the size of the kit was amazing. Being 1/5 scale, she stands at about 10″ tall with a wingspan of about 8″.

The build up was relatively straightforward, with the only real work being all of the pieces that make up her hair. Once I had those all sorted out, the painting was a breeze. The only speedbump was her classic tights with the bat pattern on them. Originally the kit had come with waterslides of the bats, but I wasn’t that lucky. After some trial and error with my own waterslide paper, I decided just to paint them on. I spent about 2 hours cutting bat patterns out of masking tape, masked them all off, and sprayed them all with the dark purple.
