This build was inspired by my friend Mike who found this awesome Japanese website where the owner had built up about 6 or 7 of these Zaku heads. Each one was custom made to match the various versions of the Zaku, and all were painted up like a super high end race car. Bright vibrant colors, crazy metallic internals, etc.

So I picked one up and began working on it. The build was super easy and straight forward, nothing major at all. Some parts do need to be glued in place, but otherwise snap fit.

Paint is all Mr. Super Metallics, and Mr. Metal Color, while the clear magenta was custom made with Higgins ink and Mr. Color clear base. Pearl white is a combination of Mr. Color white for the base and Mr. Color blue pearl for the second coat. The LED is an Adler’s nest pre-wired LED eye. Metal beads and balls from Mechaskunk.
